Introducing the debut collection

Larissa Hadjio  |  MAY+SASA Technology Collection

The most unique accessory collection of the season. Larissa Hadjio has created a truly original set of expertly crafted and beautiful handbags. Six underwater creatures, constructed in leather and Tilapia skin [non-endangered], using traditional Swiss zip technology and lined with hand printed cotton.
Perfectly proportioned, limited edition and ready to wear. A whisper from unchartered depths.
Larissa grew up in Southern Germany, spent time in Argentina and Panama, studied Fine Art at Central St Martins and has been living and working in London ever since. Her work is all about playfulness and pure delight – the ultimate glamour for today’s savvy, left field and fearless connoisseur.
In a market saturated with clichés of femininity, the MAY+SASA collection sets a gorgeous new tone. Unusual, inspired and timeless. The initial idea for the MAY+SASA collection came from a collaboration between Larissa [Sasa for short] and fellow designer, Maymanah Georgiou. In Larissa’s own words, ‘It’s about wearing something that fits your character, rather than buying a bag that already speaks for itself’.
Developed using a special 3D pattern making technique – almost a reverse origami, based upon volume rather than skeleton – Larissa lists influences such as Bless and Fischli & Weiss, but she’s defiantly on her own track, ‘my interest lies in deconstructing and rebuilding’. It’s this process of experimentation – call it magic and accident – that her work is defined by. The results are quite simply stunning.

THATS ALL FOR NOW
KISSES A.
