Dear Blog,
first of all 
i want to congratulate jujiin Samonte 
for the  success of his first solo exhibit..

his pieces were simply delish..
he presented his collection of photos in a fun unconventional way

maoooo--dels lovess it!
i felt that his pieces were inspired 
i love how he played around with all the different elements 
like tape, plastic,photographs, etc..
and turned them into 
playful 2 dimensional art instillations
creating interesting lines and texture 

(one of my favorite pieces)
it was as if he took all his most wonderful personal pieces and put them all together 
fantastic!

at first i wasn't all wowed out when i first saw the viktor and Rolf s/s 2010 runway show

my first impression was "sponge like gowns and dresses " yeah it was fun but it looked heavy and a bit stiff

 but after seeing this..

dazed and confused magazine february issue

gorgeous! gorgeous!

i must say that it  translated well into film

Mood:Sick and bored as hell Ugh

Dear Blog,

so okay the other day i was feeling much better na

and now im back in bed again freezing to death..(layered in knits and kimonos)

im terribly bored been stuck in bed for two days now

i want to go out but im too weak :(

 this is what i feel right now

me and zarina 3 years ago

but this might help me get back into shape :) i always get thin after getting fever for days hmmm..

canvas dress 1

Dear Blog,

just a random post

heres a canvas dress/ top i did last year

my print inspiration came from alexander McQueen's s/s 09 collection

and andy warhol's floral paintings

i was bored  and had a lot of free time 
so why not make something ;)

anywhoos i started draping canvas on my mannequin

after a few hours i got the silhouette i wanted

anti-shape top good to hide all the unwanted fats ;)

gathered all my fabric paint
and started to blend the colors together 
i wanted to create a shell like texture

 after a few hours...

after letting it dry for a day 

i hand stitched  everything

dyed it twice with black fabric dye 

hung it to dry 

 ironed it to seal the fabric paint 

and heres the finish product 
added pin details on the neckline

i use to be ultra-thin

i seriously need to loose some extra pounds

i just hate the effects of the holiday season

The concept is entitled Protect, the collection should embibe the love for nature and one must be protected from the harsh effects of the environment he or she lives in. saturated hues must be the collection's main scheme. with texture and hints of black. It should be fun and adventurous. The clothes are for people who love traveling and enjoy outdoor activities and still be stylish.

hello 2010

Mood: looking for love in the trashcan 

Dear Blog,

2010 has arrived 

the end of another decade 

i started making my "things i have to do" list for this year

i must admit that i made a lot of bad decisions last year 

but i guess its all part of the learning process

im still growing as person and as an artist.

im saying NO to negative vibes this year 

no more being scared of the unfamiliar

Im going to take more risks

and go with what i feel is right.

i heard from someone before that you have to risk it to take the biscuit  LOL

so okay this is where Im suppose to insert my little thank you speech to all my friends and family 

that have been oh so supportive 

thank you guys and i love you 

lets all dream of a better dream this year ;)

and 

what better way to start the year than to get back in shape ;)

i need to loose all the weight i gained during the holiday season
